Dr. Ashraf Bany Mohammed is an Associate Professor of Technology Economics and Policy and Vice Dean of the School of Business at the University of Jordan. In addition, he is currently serving as a Board member of the Innovative Startups and SMEs Fund ($100M Fund of Funds), Executive Director of the “Al-Quds Academy for Scientific Research”, and Senior Policy Advisor for the Masri Foundation. Before that, Dr. Bany Mohammed served as Director of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center at the University of Jordan for 6 years and held many leadership roles both in academia and the private sector. With over 13 years of experience in technology and innovation management, startup and venture building, digital and green economy, and international development, Dr. Bany Mohammed is now leading MAG Advisory, which provides professional consulting, mentorship, training, and advisory services to businesses, governments, and non-profit organizations while also working as an independent consultant for numerous organizations and helping more than 250 startups, SMEs, and NGOs throughout Jordan and the MENA region. Dr. Bany Mohammed co-founded both “SQAURE-T Technology” and “LEVANT for local community development” (NPO) in 2014, during which he developed extensive practical experience in building organizations from the ground up and working with diverse teams and different cultural settings, both domestic and international. Dr. Bany Mohammed holds a Ph.D. in technology economics, management, and policy from Seoul National University, a Masters in CIS, and a Bachelors in CS from Yarmouk University.
